Dr. Angelo was born and raised in The Netherlands, where he completed his medical and specialty training. He had two years of experience working as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist before relocating to New Zealand in December 2022. Last year, he received his vocational registration while working at Health NZ – Te Whatu Ora.
Dr. Angelo also serves as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Health NZ – Te Whatu Ora for three days a week. Additionally, he holds the position of Senior Honorary Lecturer at Auckland University.
Dr. Angelo is dedicated to providing exceptional care to young individuals and their whanau, ensuring a safe and non-judgmental environment. His areas of clinical interest include working with mood disorders, neurodevelopmental difficulties, and traumatic disorders. He is also enthusiastic about addressing more complex issues and is a trained EMDR therapist.
